The Seshadri lab is focused on identifying immune mechanisms of protection against Mycobacterium tuberculosis, the causative agent of human tuberculosis. We perform detailed studies of unique human cohorts, such as ‘TB resisters’ as well as complementary work in animal models, including non-human primates. Increasingly, the work involves the generation of high-dimensional immunologic data requiring advanced mathematical and statistical approaches for analysis.
