Biography:

I am working as a post-doctoral researcher with a Marie Curie-Sklodowska Individual Fellowship at the University of Birmingham (UK). My main project focuses on the study of functional immune and metabolic responses to Mycobacterium tuberculosis (M.tb). Our project aims to better understand the interplay between immune responses and metabolism in the phenotype and function of macrophages. Understanding their dynamics will bring new insights into tuberculosis pathogenesis and can lead to the development of novel immunotherapies, targeting both immune and/or metabolic host cell pathways.
