The Institute of Biological, Environmental and Rural Sciences are seeking a committed individual to join our dynamic team to investigate Mycobacterial host-pathogen interactions, in particular those, which could lead to the development of novel diagnostic markers. We are particularly interested in the role of the adaptive immune response to mycobacteria and its role in the pathogenesis of bTB, which could lead to the development of novel diagnostic markers. To carry out these studies, we will engage a number of technologies such as cytometry, proteomics, metabolomics and transcriptomics. We expect that the use of these technologies will allow us to identify signatures, which will enable the development of novel markers of disease progression, which is a key remit of CBTB.
