TB Vaccine Project Manager

We are seeking a Project Manager to support our Tuberculosis (TB) Vaccine Programme led by Professor Helen McShane.
We have been developing TB vaccines for the last 17 years. This has included early stage design and testing in preclinical in vivo models, and human clinical trials, evaluating the safety, immunogenicity and efficacy of these vaccines in the UK and in Africa.
We aim to foster scientific excellence within a friendly, open and free-thinking environment.
You will be managing our vaccine development programme, including clinical trials in the UK and overseas. You will be highly organised, able to deal with complex information, and to prioritise your workload effectively. You will work with staff and collaborators at different levels regularly, including clinicians, nurses, scientists from PhD students to Professors, managers, industry partners, and funders, so excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential.
You will be a science graduate, preferably with relevant skills and knowledge of clinical trial management. You will have excellent organisational skills and you can work effectively both independently and as part of a team. You will be self-motivated, capable of coordinating complex logistic operations and motivating others to meet deadlines. Critical thinking and good problem solving skills are needed. You will work to high standard and have a good attention to detail and good computer skills.
Previous experience in vaccine development, designing and managing large investigational medicinal product trials, performing research in developing countries, relevant higher degree, and an understanding of Good Clinical Practice, would be an advantage.
