Dr Katharina Kranzer (LSHTM), Prof Stefan Kaufmann (Max Planck Institute for Infection Biology), and Dr Uzma Khan (Interactive Research and Development) will provide insights into the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on tuberculosis, including effects on access to services, diagnosis, vaccine development and MDR-TB. Prof Godfrey-Faussett (UNAIDS) will open the event, providing reflections on the policy context for the prevention and treatment of tuberculosis in light of the current pandemic.
