In this Post-Graduate Course speakers will introduce participants to the basic principles and components of the ECHO model and review examples of the adaptation of the model in a variety of TB epidemic contexts in both high and low burden settings. We will also review a robust evaluation protocol and plan.
The objective of the workshop is to familiarize the audience with the Target Product Profiles (TPPs) for future Tuberculosis Preventive Treatment (TPT). The workshop will describe the context in which the TPPs were developed, discuss the methodology used to select and prioritize key attributes, and present a review of the evidence. The workshop requires interactive participation of participants.
The recent COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the importance of airborne infection prevention and control (IPC) in healthcare and congregate settings. There continues to be a lack of knowledge and skills needed to develop effective and sustainable programmes. This workshop will reinforce the basics of airborne IPC (administrative controls, environmental controls, and personal protective equipment).
