Dates: 9-10 May 2019
Location: Cambridge, UK
The British Society for Immunology's Mathematical Modelling Affinity Group is pleased to bring you 'Mathematical modelling in immunology: immunology and infection modelling in public health' taking place on 9-10 May 2019 in Cambridge, UK.
The aim of this workshop is to bring together scientists working in the areas of experimental and theoretical immunology, to discuss current challenges on immunology and infection modelling in public health. The main goals of the meeting will be:
- to bring together researchers and clinicians from a variety of backgrounds to discuss the importance of immunology and infection modelling in public health
- to encourage inter-disciplinary (specifically mathematics and immunology) discussions in order to guide the development of new mathematical models, given the experimental and clinical data
- to expose post-graduate students, working in this area, to current immunological challenges and open questions
