Abhishek Mandal

 

Dr. Abhishek Mandal is a young and dynamic researcher working in the field of cell biology/immunology of infectious diseases. He is working as Research Scientist at ICMR-RMRIMS, Patna, lndia. He did his M.Sc & Ph.D in Biochemistry from the University of Calcutta, India. He has more than 8 years research experience in the field of visceral leishmaniasis. Dr. Mandal has research expertise in the field of both basic and applied research (diagnostic, vaccine and clinical research). He has working in 4 major national/international projects funded by the European Commission, ICMR and DNDi.

 

Dr. Mandal is the recipient of the prestigious ''Young Scientist Award 2017'' from the Indian Society for Parasitology. He is also the Life Member of the society. He received 2nd prize for his poster presentation in INTZOOCON-2018. Dr. Mandal is the recipient of a International Travel Grant from SERB, Government of India and the ''NTD Global Network Travel Bursaries Award'' from GCRF and Durham University for attending international conferences/workshops.

 

Dr. Mandal authored 18 publications in peer-reviewed international journals and 30 abstracts in national/international conferences/ He attended 15 national/international conferences and workshops.
