Biography:

Dr Ana Valencia-Hernandez is an early career researcher with international education and expertise in the fields of immunology, intracellular pathogens, and vaccine development, and possesses a wide-ranging skillset in cellular immunology and microbiology. Trained in several murine infection models, she has gained experience in the design of T cell-based Vaccines for malaria and tuberculosis. Dr Valencia-Hernandez has particular focus on the development of immunisation strategies that promote the generation of tissue resident memory T cells, important for the local control of infections.
