Biography:

Daniel's research primarily centres around the molecular epidemiology of M. tuberculosis, specifically focusing on tuberculous lymphadenitis in Ethiopia. In addition, I have a broad interest in studying the eco-evolutionary dynamics of M. tuberculosis and other medically significant microorganisms, including those with pandemic potential. I am also interested in infection biology and the resistome transmission dynamic. Daniel brings valuable skills to the table, including expertise in systematic reviews and meta-analyses and practical laboratory experience in whole-genome sequencing (WGS) and working in a Biosafety Level 3 (BSL3) environment. I am enthusiastic about collaborating on research projects that delve into molecular epidemiology, pathogen-omics, and diagnostic and vaccine biomarkers.
