Research Keywords: TB, host‐pathogen interactions, adjuvants, vaccines, animal models, clinical trials Biography: My expertise in infectious diseases was obtained largely through interactions with researchers in my role as a scientist with positions held in the UK, the Caribbean, Tanzania, and the US. In my roles as VP of Research and Development at PAI Life Sciences Inc. and SVP of Preclinical and Translational Research at the Infectious Disease Research Institute, I serve on the Executive Teams and oversee the development of early and later preclinical stage vaccines that translate from the lab to clinical testing. I have a proven track record of publication in highquality, peer‐reviewed journals (see attached resume). I am a PI or co‐Investigator and have been successful in securing competitive funding (range of $5K to $13.99M) from NIH/NIAID, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation (PGAFF), the Medical Research Council (MRC), the Wellcome Trust, The European Commission, and PATH. I have direct experience with managing large, complex projects involving multiple partners both locally and internationally, and have successfully administered several projects concurrently (e.g. staffing, budgets, reporting). I hold an affiliate professorship at the University of Washington in the Department of Global Health. I mentor future generation researchers at undergraduate, graduate, postdoctoral and scientist levels. I received my Ph.D. from The University of Washington, my M.Sc. from The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), and my B.Sc. from Mc Gill University. In summary, I have a demonstrated record of successful and productive research projects in areas of high relevance for global health, and biotechnology.
