Biography:

I am a biologist and my research focus is tuberculosis. The studies I carry out in the subject span from basic immunology/immunopathology to molecular epidemiology. My group has two lines of investigation: the study of human immune responses to the BCG vaccine, and the assessment of genetic factors that affect host-pathogen interaction and influence the course of vaccination, infection and disease.
