Biography:
The main goals of my research group are to develop genetically attenuated parasites (T. cruzi, and Leishmania) using genome editing tools, and identification and characterization of surface ligands to improve Chagas disease treatment. Attenuated parasites are being developed also to be used as vaccine vector.
